I wish that Festool would make a sander like the Porter-Cable 121 6 Amp Hand Held Oscillating Spindle Sander, but with better dust collection and the future ability to be added into the CMS System for drum sanding with a platform.  It would make a nice addition for the Festool sanding line.

I've had the same wish...  Until then, Woodpeckers makes a plate for the PC 121 for table mounting -- the plate is only produced on a limited bases, and is not always available.  I keep my PC 121 and the Woodpecker plate in a Systainer 5.  They'll also fit into a Systainer 4.

I have looked at that before, but would like it better if it was Festool.  Wink

I already posted that in july 2008 here. Can't say my post was received with raving enthusiasm, though...

I also emailed Festool Germany about it, they sent me this reply:

Dear Mr. ******,

thank you very much for sending us your idea regarding an new sander for the CMS system. For the moment we have not planned starting activities for making new products for the CMS product group. If we have the capacity to start new products in this segment we will put up your idea an discuss it.

Please don?t hesitate to send us your ideas. If we have the possibility and see a potential for the idea we do our best to realize it.

Thanks again for sending the idea

Best regards

i. A. Roland M?nz

So I doubt we'll be in much luck. And the PC121 isn't for sale here in Europe, unfortunately.
