Are we really talking about denim or instead cotton twill (lighter in weight and softer).  Long sleeves or short sleeves?

Hmmmmm.

Long sleeves.
Cotton twill.
Choice of White or that nice Festoolian BluishBlackish color.

I will knit myself some Festool socks to match.

I dought very seriously that Festool would care if you got a shirt and had the Festool name/Logo embroidered on it. As long as you DO NOT sell the shirt. Again this would be for Personal use only not for profit.

On the other hand. I'am part of a Corvette club and GM grants us a limited license to use the Corvette logos (Corvette name, flag logo, Z06 logo, and ZR1 logo etc...) on club apparel, documents and the website.  We cannot sell to non-members, it is for club use only.

May someone here can get the same kind of license from Festool and make FOG apparel with the Festool name.

just my 2 cents!

...

No, Greg, this just wouldn't be the same thing at all.  After purchasing my second SVT Lightning, they sent me a SVT Racing hat.  Nice hat too.  But, one day while boating that hat was lost in the drink.  And I did miss that hat.  So, for a Christmas present, my wife got me a hat at the Ford shop.  Not the same thing at all -- one was a limited edition and the other was readily available over the counter.

Anyway, my hat's off to Festool for asking what we might want.  Hope to see some new tool offerings down the road.   [big grin]

I'd like to see a cutting table that allows you to rip and cross cut 4 X 8 sheets with built in repeatability (think Incra).

Saw this post this morning, but didn't have time to reply. As some have pointed out, Festool probably couldn't do much to improve the multimaster, and the compressor in a systainer has already been done by Probena.

One thing that seems quite popular is a 'lunchbox' planer. I've thought in the past that that would be a great idea, in a systainer footprint. I meant to post it at the time, but I did a concept model of it - I've just posted details in this post.

Other things I'd like to see Festool make are:

a 45 degree base for the MFK700, to turn it into a small cove router;

a new version of the SE-HL Bench Unit for the HL850 planer, with an extended, longer bed for surfacing bigger timbers (perfect for use in conjunction with the SysPlaner!);

and, I'd like Festool UK to start importing Protool, and making them properly available in the UK. They are sort-of-available, in a sneak-in-and-ask-to-see-what's-under-the-counter kind of way [eek]

I would defuntly buy a Systainer thicknesser.   As long as it would do atleast  4 inch tall and 6 inch wide  with self feed and 2mm planning depth I will love to own one!! Would come in handy sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much! Brilliant for on site.  small in size fits in with my Van Rackin and easy to carry around! brillaint!

Yeah, just imagine the shipping costs on that one.  And then there's the condition that it would be in when UPS dropped it (pun intended) off at your door.   [scared]

12" disc sander to go with the portable spindle sander someone already mentioned.

Really just a line of bench top tools that would include the little drum sander, planer/jointer, drill press, disc and spindle sanders as well as the 1" vertical belt sander like the Delta SA180.  All tools that could be brought to a site, but normally are bench top shop tools.

Basically all the bench top tools I have are a hodgepodge of the best from different brands

Do they already have a line of nice chisels, if not chisels.

I like to see an accessory that will hold the Rotex in such position that you can use it as a bench top disc sander.

I also wish that Festool made a portable table saw!
I don't understand!?! I keep cutting it,and it's still too short!

I second that. I've made my own right now, it's simple, but an out of the box solution would be great.

I know it's NAINA.. but one of the CMS modules turns your TS upside down into a small MFT-based tablesaw.

They do, it's called Precisio  See: http://www.festool.net/mediandoweb/index.cfm?sLanguage=English&ID_O_TREE_GROUP=1770&PARENT=1763&AKTIVPROD=1

And, if you care to move somewhere out of North America, you can purchase it.   [drooling]  [crying]

No I would prefer a regular type BENCH portable table saw. No legs, closed base, 15 amp with a rack and pinion fence.

You know what we say around here;  Without pictures, it didn't happen.

So, how about a shot of that sander mod?

1) Lipping planer (although the Lamello Cantex will be hard to improve)
2) Domino glue dispensor
3) Dominos that you don't have to hammer in the mortise
4) RTA fasteners for Domino mortises (RTA = Ready To Assemble)
5) Adapter for drill similar to Centrotec that will accept ball detent bits commonly AINA.  (Since it is not possible to make bits that fit the screws most commonly available, this seems like the only remaining alternative. ::))

I could not disagree with this statement more. The whole concept behind Domino is precision, and if the Dominos were not so tight, you would have the same crappy precision you would get from a biscuit joiner. If you want them loose for a test-fit, then you should keep a set of Dominos that are sanded down and color coded so you don't use them for final assembly.

I wish Festool made a tool to the usual high Festool Quality Standard with a price tag that acknowledges the (quality) gap between Festool and other brands has norrowed considerably.
