I have always wished it has a wireless activation for it!
Their would be 3 options on how to do this. A plug it lead which has a wireless signal device built onto it and when you start the tool up the lead recognises a change in current in the lead and sends a signal to the Vac to switch on
OR
a separate little device which clips on to the end of the plug it lead and into the tool and then does the same thing turns the vac on when you your tools starts to run.
OR
New tools which are made by Festool will have the wireless device built in already! It will be CT Vac Wireless Ready lol!
The little device will only be tiny I know this because my bathroom shower is wireless I can switch it on from any where in the house with this tiny 20mm by 20mm little thing.
This option would be DEAD handy for me! Working on site some times I could be working in multiple rooms and being able to to have all tools plugged in certain rooms and just simply roll the CT vac around and stick the hose in and cut away is much easier and quicker and I wouldnt keep getting tangled up with the leads and hose pain in the arse. Its mainly a problem with chop saw and TS55.
Some might say get another vac but ideal world I would need 3 to solve the problem! but I carry enough tools around carrying 2-3 vacs aswell just a pain and takes up more room in my VAN which is full enough as it is.

A wireless control for Festool vacs is something I'd like to see too. But I want it as a separate controller so I can use it with non-Festools like for example my Mirka sander. And it should have a suction control as well as an on-off switch. There are already lots of remote on-off controls on the market, so just an on-off doesn't do anything special that I can't get elsewhere.

I was dumbfounded there for a bit since I'm so used to the local hot water reservoirs & district heating as well as my Oras Optima super quick thermostat shower mixers. Couldn't think of a single reason why I would want to remote control the showers |

how about a vac that can be extanded by putting in a piece in the middle. like the systainer classic risers.
it would hold a smaller amount with out the riser and could use a midi size bag. put in multiple risers and it could use the ct48 size bags.
mybe a teliscopic version could be handy . when its empty its small and as it fills up it extends

Couldn't think of a single reason why I would want to remote control the showers The Remote control shower is just a automatic mixer it still requires boiler or something else to supply hot water. It would still work in your case with the district heating. Just like your Oras Optima is keeps the temp constant. Any way here is a vid of my bathroom shower wireless! The little remote thing does not have a battery as far as Im aware the click must give it enough power to send the single ON and OFF JMB

Thanks for the demo - I still don't find other than practical joke value in such remote control i.e. someone standing near a shower set to icy cold and you click it on remotely  but it does have inherent gadgetry value that does appeal to me as an techno-gadgeteer  I'll put that on the list for the next renovations to look into after I find a working internet fridge consept from somewhere like automatic inventory based on NFC IDs and iOS apps for shoppinglist generation based on recipe + what you have in the fridge |

I was talking to my work mate to day mentioning about a Wireless activated vac! Well it never crossed my mind! Maybe because I dont use and only own 1 or 2 tools which run on 110V all the rest of my tools are 240V.
Any way he said a wireless vac would make his life LOADS easier cus he has half his tools 110v and other half is 240v well he doesnt want to buy 2vacs! So he bought a 240v one cus hes converting all his tools to 240v after he has been working with me for a while and has come to realise 240v tools are far better. This has left him with a slight problem for a bit untill all his tools are converted! IF you plug a transformer into a 240v the vac just runs non stop! So he has to keep switching his vac on manual all the time.
Well if you have a wirless vac it doesnt mater what Volts your tools are as it will switch on regardless of Voltage.

So 4 people can have their own temperature setting! And they do a bath one now also! WICKED! You cant tell me the bath one is pointless! because it you cant overflow the bath if you forget about it! YOu can remotely turn it on from down stairs while your doing something at the temperature you have set it at then just simply go upstairs and its ready for you!! Cool - the bath one I too would find actually useful just like the GSM-based sauna stove remote on/off controls we have here for calling in to your summer cabins sauna from the road to have a nice & roasty sauna waiting by the lake when you get there on Friday evening with cold beer  I guess there must be a customer base out there for the shower system as well since they seem to be pretty high-end gadgets and in a way I could even somehow justify the newer shower RC system with user customised settings for multiple people just like posh cars electric seats & mirrors have position memories for different drivers. |

I would like a a new VAC specifically for the KAPEX. The Kapex would mount on top of it almost something like a systainer with different heights depending on your work and that way could be wheeled around really easy. It would be extremely helpful when Im installing hardwood floors and going from room to room with no mess to clean. It would also be nice when working in my customers homes too. I may have to make something myself.

iv done this with my small chop saw. works great for small stuff but i wouldnt use it for big stuff. very hanfy on site doing a bit here and there.
