I'm looking for another vac and considering the CT Midi and Fein Turbo I.

I can overlook that the CT costs $100 more, has a shorter hose, less suction, less capacity, and not as quiet.  I've been happy with my Fein Turbo II for the last 7 years and would like to try the Festool.

But not having a HEPA filter option pretty much makes that not possible - can't compromise with my lungs!

Making HEPA standard on the Midi, like with the CT 22, would sure even things up a bit (it's an $80 option with the Fein).

How about it???

Brad; I am not sure if you would be happy with the Midi. As I understand it it has the same motor as the Mini, which I have.
The Mini is sufficient for simple tasks, but not heavy use where the CTL 22 is much better. The Midi has a larger bag but apart from that I see no benefits over the Mini. (The Mini, as far as I know, has no polyester bag that can be emptied and reinserted - this the Midi might have)

I have managed to clog up the Mini on a few occasions and looked at the Midi as I want to keep things light and small but a colleague who has the Midi is now looking at the Mini since he thought that the Mini was a better portable choice, so I ended up keeping the Mini. Clogged it up twice today. Sad

Honestly our little Volta Rolfy - which is dwarfed by the Mini - does almost as good as the Mini. My fiancee was happy I bought the Mini but has yet to impressed by it and thinks it is too big for what it does.

If you are happy with the Fein Turbo I suggest you keep it.
