I just got a new t12 drill recently and I like it very much. I only wish it could lock onto 1/4" hex shanks just like how the centrotec chuck locks onto centrotec shanks. This would take away sales from centrotec bits but it would be a lot more convenient for customers.

Btw, does the cxs hold onto hex drill bits more securely when inserted directly than the t12?

Or in your next drill, incorporate 1/4" hex locking into the drill.

This topic was discussed here several times in the past. Unlike centrotec bits, 1/4 bits are not precise. There are no any standards for them.
Every Festool drill goes with 1/4 magnetic bit holder, so you can use it.
