Several Festool owners reported that systainer labels fall and can't be put back in place. Is it possible that Festool keeps downloadable copies, pdf or scanned, or whatever is appropriate, available so it is easy to print a replacement on some appropriate paper ?

Its not hard to make your own labels, the problem is they are the poor quality. I'd like to see Festool provide better labels or at least sell replacements.

I'd have to vote for replacements, for those who need them. I like the fact that the lables peel off easily. Love my tools, like my systainers. Just not together. I use shop built boxes / shelves for my tools, and systainers for misc. stuff.

Festeringtool,
Had you taken a moment to consider the comments, you'd realise the simple problem is that the cases (systainers) are indentical, once you have a collection of Festools you start to appreciate the necessity of the labels.
However, why am I taking the trouble to explain to such a shallow mind?
Your comments are tiresome, I've ignored you to date because you're obviously suffering some pretty severe insecurities regarding your personal status. (The knee jerk reaction of lashing out at others in a vain attempt to make yourself look more important or knowledgeable is always the result of deep self loathing). So I have not only taken pity on you, I have pitied you.
I'm truly sorry that life has appeared to you to be so unfair that your standard reaction to almost any situation is to attempt sarcastic wit. (you're succeeding in the sarcastic half of that, as to the wit, you came to this gunfight unarmed).
This is not an invitation for a flame match - in fact I will not respong to (or even read) any more of your posts.
Have a nice life, try to get some help - or at least give some thought to your feelings about others and more importantly, your feelings about yourself.

That is a solution, but only if you're sure you'll never need to upgrade a tool to a newer/bigger/smaller version. Having a stickerless systainer with permanent marker all over it WILL affect the resale value...

If I was the opinion, that a permanent marker would be just as good as the original decals I would not have requested them in the first place. I happen to like my systainers with the original decals on them.
If you like a big fat permanent marker in stead its fine with me - we are all different I guess.

I saw on E-bay today that someone is selling these stickers. Its a set of four or five labels for the systainers. For TEN DOLLARS! Use a label maker if you need to label them. I usually just write on a strip of masking tape for most of my boxes on the shelves. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160220072755&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123 Of course I don't know how to get a replacement for the really cool sticker I got on top of the Domino box. I bought during the first shipment last year & they included a sticker that said "A precision tool for a Master Craftsman, John Kunze". Thanks for that one Festool. What a pleasant surprise when I opened that box. Did any one else get that sticker on a tool, or am I the only one.

Those on ebay are not the ones we are talking about here. We are talking about the ones that are on your systainer when you buy a tool, eg. a C 12 set. Thomas

Thomas, Why not contact the E-bay seller & ask him if he can supply those, as well. He might be able to, he seems to have a source for these stickers, as they're listed many times over.

I went to the horses head instead (so to say) and contacted Festool in Germany, Wendlingen. I took it on me to write in german wich is a bigger challange than english. I hope it pays of and will let you know.

The McFeely's labels were a good concept. Unfortunately, the ink rubs off of them.

Why not simply make it a spare part that you can order? As eg. one of the blank inlays for systainers. That would be the best way of making sure it will work I think. Thomas

I was thinking of cutting an 1/8" thick Plexiglas or lexan the the exact size of the label this weekend.
Place it over the label, drill and secure to the systainer with 4 rivets. I have a couple systainers with peeling labels I would like to save.
This of course does not provide a solution to this threads question. But perhaps it can help those keep their labels from falling of their systainers.
Call me Anal, Type A, Extreme, Obsessive, fanatical, zealous, fickle, coo koo, crazy.
Truth is, keeping the labels or professionally labeling the systainers may: *Keep you organized *Speed up/contribute to establishing credibility, Customer's will quickly form opinions of you based on your appearance.

Hi, You are not "extreme" unless you secure the plexi to the Systainer with Festool knobs. Seth

All the Festool knobs I've seen have been too large. It would not be aesthetic. Perhaps fabricating a frame for the plexiglas. German silver, by preference. Ned

Now, that is ridiculous. At this point, I think you should be looking for sleeker, aluminum cases with laser etched engravings of the labels. Perhaps with plush leather interiors, tooled of course. Oh, wait I think we need a custom line of veneered cases as well, with different exotics, as options. I know I have VIP taste. Hey we could get famous woodworkers, like Krenov, to each design their own case, or that custom bike dude, Jesse James. Or how about a "bling" Hip Hop line. That would be platinum, diamond encrusted.

How about steampunk Systainers? You mentioned the veneers. Nice brass trunk fittings and schnappers, maybe a cast handle--could be beautiful. See also Brass Goggles. Ned
