i would love to have a t loc riser/extension piece. i want to make a few tool systainers up but want tlocs.
i hope there are some out there .
i am asking all ye dealers and shane and seth ( the systainer king) if there is one available now or soon

I don't see an extension frame for the new T-Loc Systainer as a possibility at all. An extension frame fits between the body and the lid of a Systainer, but unlike the classic Systainers, the new T-Locs only have a latch at the front -- with the lid removed, there is not any means to latch the rear of a T-Loc to an extension frame. Guess you will have to deal with the available size(s) of the T-Locs, or use the classics instead.

I agree with Corwin on the extension. I don't think it will/can happen.
I love that idea for a Classic to T-Loc adapter extension.

It seems that Tanos abandoned some features when they moved to t-loc:
Extensions
T-loc maxi (won't work)
Stacking order
I'm sure there are others. Not sure I understand the business logic behind it unless those minor and rarely used features.
Our local dealer claims the only motive for t-loc was that the patent ran out on the classic.

In the unlikely event that they should offer such an animal, then it may as well include the T-Loc style lid with that extension frame. You would want the (current) classic extension frame to remain available for the situation where you wanted to add more that one extension frame to the top of a classic. But, I seriously doubt that we will ever see such an oddity. |

Or are these latches too long/short? I am not looking at the Systainers right now, but I think that would work as long as the edge/frame of the t-Loc bottom were left enough intact. With a little bit of the bottom remaining too, maybe a 1/2" rnning around the edge?. Not sure about ridgidity though. I guess it would take some testing,. Anyone want to send me a T-Loc -I for experimentation purposes ? Seth |
