As a follow up to the poll started to determine interest in the possibility of Regional Get - Togethers, here is another question for you.  As stated in the previous thread, this is for my information so that I can continue to work towards a major dream of mine.

Help me out.  Vote for your top 4.  I need to narrow down the most interesting and important.

Thanks,

Peter

As always, comments are welcome and encouraged!

Peter    No matter where this finally takes place having Shane and you there is gonna have to be a must in my opinion.
To me you and Shane are a big part of the heart and soul of this whole site.
Assorted dealers would be great, training and demo's too.
But to me the biggie is meeting and greeting other FOG Brethren to share idea's, stories and well just plain meet...
Meeting well named woodworker's is not what this should be about, Its for FOGgers and it should be something shared for all.
Sorry for the ramble but you did ask

So having someone like Tom Silva wouldn't be in the top four?

Remember - this is me talking - not Festool.

Peter   I realize that would be great , but I really want to meet and share with this group of great people that are part of this site...Everyone I have had contact with have been just great and to meet some in person including you,Shane, Bob Marino, Brice , well heck the list can go in.
This is to me what I see as important.

I held one vote in reserve in case you come to your senses and add dancing girls to the list Wink

Wow, it's hard to choose and then only pick four.  Like Sal posted I'm not to excited to see well know wood workers over more member activities.  Training, seminars, Festool staff are high on the list followed by dealers and related manufacturers.

Harry, don't wast a vote there, that is a given, the dancing girls always travel with Peter. Tongue Out

Hi,

Personally I would like to see a nice mix of the types of those choices. Currently three of the top four results are all eductional / instructive, and the forth is participation by a Festool Trainer. This would be a bit eduaction heavy in my opinion.

Brice,  Kreg has the dancing girls  Big Grin.

Yeah, not the perfect poll.  But it is a start.

Keep your comments coming.  Who knows, maybe the comments will be more revealing than the poll!

If I was able to make it (and it's really, really big IF), I'd just be happy to meet some fellow foggers, and some of the Festool USA staff too.

I'd like to see some demos and/or training too, but that would be a bonus.

Got to say.... without knowing where it would be held, I can't answer.

I have to get on plane to get there...my exceptions and requirements would be different.

Drive 20 minutes..... I'll take anything but dealers only.... I can get that now... of the three local dealers... only one knows the product... and they don't need to go to show as they are busy now and have more in the store than any booth.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Did you see this thread  it gives an idea of possible locations  http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-wish-list/2012-regional-fog-festool-get-togethers/

In anycase this being a feeler poll, I suggest that you answer based on the idea that you would be able to attend. And probably by driving.    Just so an idea of peoples interests can be obtained.
