I bought the Fine Finish GX19 in December and sent in the coupon for free extra tips. The tips I just received are the new FFLP ones.
Good to know. How do you like the GX19. Just waiting for an excuse (project) to buy one.
Late in responding. I've had a few times to try out the GX19 and like it; it's simple. My prior experience is with a Titan 440.
I bought an assortment of tips for outdoor walls and at some point to redo our fence. A few FFLP tips and also a 210 for smaller work. I'm spraying an 8x14 shed. Also built a single 3'x15' maple frame for restaurant menu boards, primed that with the Graco when I primed the shed.
The unit is easy to move around even with a gallon of paint in it. Being self-contained is certainly it's top feature. No issues in setup. It primes easily. First time use requires clearing the pump armor out. I store it in a controlled space so I don't do the pump armor after use, probably a few times a year maybe or if changing solvent types.
This year I may try it out for interior, paint walls and ceiling in our living room, along with painted shiplap style boards on a new fireplace buildout with TV and such.
One thing about the airless vs my Fuji HVLP is that I can change tip sizes on the airless at anytime while spraying a project. That is not really an option on the HVLP once I'm setup. I have multiple HVLP guns for that reason.
Also not thinning regular paints is convenient. But it never bothers me when thinning for HVLP which I just accept as that process.
This is my first Graco product, and I'm very pleased. I've spoken with them on the phone to clear up confusion (on their end) for the extra tips coupon. They were incredibly polite and attentive. Couldn't have asked more.
The interesting thing is that I had to buy it from a paint store in FL, very easy over the phone, because my Sherwin Williams a few blocks away was clueless about the GX19 model. Pretty sad when one of the largest paint stores nationwide just doesn't have its act together.
I find it odd how little info is out there on websites or youtube about the GX19. Whenever some new sander or saw or welder or camera or phone, you'll have umpteen reviews. So very little info out there on the GX19 from Graco or users.
