HI guy's
Im from england and recently discoverd festool and there amazing tools.
 in the last monthe I have spent  a shed load of money replacing my old tools with new festool one's after trying the ts 55 and guide rail i was hooked . im looking to replace my old dewalt chop saw with the kapex but just wondering if the kapex will fit on to dewalt chop saw stand,

According to reports from users here in FOG, it does fit and a few members have used this set-up.

I use a DeWalt stand with my Kapex (and my 4 other miter saws).  I mounted a piece of 3/4" plywood to the yellow brackets (intended to be mounted directly to the base of the saw).  This gives me a flat surface to set any of the saws on without having to swap out the brackets every time.  As far as attaching/clamping the saw to the plywood, with the Kapex I use two 5/16" (I think) bolts down through the top of the base with plastic "star" knobs below the plywood.  All in all, I think the whole setup is pretty versatile.
