Jim,
By default, SMF gives the administrator five stars.  Also by default, SMF has a system for giving stars to members based on how many posts they have.  It also assigns titles according to the number of posts you have, like "Newbie," "Junior Member," "Senior Member," and so on.

We had a discussion a while back where a lot of members seemed to dislike the rating system, so I disabled it. 
But then I thought people might like to know when the administrator posts, so I kept my stars up there.  But five stars seemed excessive, so I lowered it to three.  That way, it's still clear who I am, but I don't draw so much attention to myself.

The whole point is regardless of the number of stars, you have done a excellent thing here with the new formate of the FOG. 

As any number of posters have pointed out, and I heartily agree... this is way better than the old Yahoo formate!!!

One of my complaints on the Yahoo site for me was problems of word warp, in-spite of it showing no problems under "preview" presented as a mess.  On this site it is a non-issue.   Another complaint was strictly chronological posts leaving continuity of subject matter haphazard to follow. 

This site thru your efforts has proved to be well organized & thus easy to follow.  The result will not only be a much more useful site, but as you have seen so far will have with significantly higher levels of participation. 

All kidding aside, you deserve 5 stars,

I totally agree with the others, you have done a great job.  I really like the photos that can be put in the posts, makes it so much easier to understand stuff.
