un-linking a page
« on: November 11, 2016, 02:11 PM »
hey, stoolie mods,
how do i un-link a page i commented on?
for example, when i first came here i posted what my first purchase was in the "first festool purchase" thread.
now i get notified upon every new purchase others make, several times daily.
rather than be notified i would rather unlink to the page and pop back and forth if or when i feel like it.
thank you for your help.

Click the button at the top of the thread that says "Unnotify". That will turn off new post notifications. You can also manage this in your user profile.

You'll only see "un-notify" on pages/threads you've previously clicked "notify" on.
[NOTE: Tools from other manufacturers are of course available. As this is the Festool Owners Group, I tend to limit my advice to the tools that Festool sell, and assume that you've come to this site to get advice on Festool tools and because the level of skill and experience of the community here outstrips most you'll find elsewhere. If you *are* interested in tools from other manufacturers, please mention it in your post and also take the time to visit their user forums too.]

You would need to go the thread that you are getting the notification from to see the "unnotify" button.

It looks like you might be talking about this thread, so click the link below to go to the thread page. Then click the unnotify button.

ok, i have tried everything else, now i have tried deleting my comment to see if it goes away.
interesting that one can delete a comment after others have quoted it, kinda leaves them hanging there...
no matter, will see what happens now.
