While we certainly do have some amazing members, I find that the 'Amazing Member Inventions!' forum to somewhat redundant given the 'Festool Jig & Tool Enhancements' forum.  Currently, there are only three topics there -- one sticky one about that board, one on Ricks Domino accessory and another that really doesn't belong there at all...  So, why not move the one meaningful thread to the 'Festool Jig & Tool Enhancements' section and be done with it?

Thank you for the suggestion. I have brought it to the notice of Shane and Peter, and we will certainly discuss it.

I always thought that the forum was presumptuous.  It was never appropriate and should be removed.

Frank,

Shane is going to eliminate the Board.

Corwin,

You made a good point, Forrest convinced Shane.  I came back to the Forum, saw the message, posted my thought, and then saw that it was already done.  OOPS.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Good Evening,
The "Amazing Member Inventions" board had a very good potential purpose: to set aside space where members could give more visibility to inventions that stand out among the rest.  The idea was to have members drive which projects appear there, which fits perfectly with the general philosophy of the forum.  The idea was born from member requests for such a board.

Unfortunately, after the board was set up, we didn't get much of a response, so only a couple of inventions made it in, which made the board appear to be meaningless.

Thanks,
Matt

Great!! Hopefully now, we will see a bit more activity in the 'Festool Jig & Tool Enhancements', my favorite section!
