I would like to suggest that the administration considers making the forum smart phone friendly by adding the tapatalk app feature to the boards. I find it very nice to use on a few other boards I frequent and I think it would be nice to be able to use my iPhone to keep up to date on this board as well, without having to struggle with tiny text.
Apologies in advance if i posted this the wrong place.

Thanks for the suggestion. I received a message a couple of months ago from another member who recommended Taptalk. I tried to implement it without success and gave up trying. I read some others were having trouble getting it to work with the type of forum software we use here.
Sorry.
I'll see if I can find another option for mobile browsing on the forum.
Shane

I spent some time last night working on getting this implemented. I think there may have been some issues with the original version that caused it not to work properly. It's now working. If anyone is interested in accessing the forum from a smartphone, you can give this a try: http://www.tapatalk.com - it works on most major phone types (iPhone, Android, BlackBerryand Nokia). I have no affiliation with the software and can't offer any support for issues members might have trying to use it. Shane

That is great and handy. thanks for the apps. I also requested something a long time to the previous admin, but it was not delivered. There are sometimes when I don't remember the specific word for what I am looking, but I remember who posted it. Could the search function be used to search by user only? How it works today is you have to enter a word and the user, I want to enter only the user name. I can posted in a new post but I think this could help, because what the OP requested was delivered. Merry, Merry what ever makes your life happy and Happy New Year.

There is never a situation where it can't be done with the right hand tool - even though it may be a lot more work.

There's another alternative, go to the person's profiles, near the bottom there are severl options. Use the 'Show the last posts of this person." option. Click on that and you'll see the member's posts in descending order (newest to oldest).

Again, no affiliation with Tapatalk, but Henning was kind enough to share screenshots of the software. Here's what the FOG looks like on it.
