So then,

If the contest closes Sunday midnight, then I guess it could be delivered to it's destination on Monday morning. And since it's only just left, that pretty much rules out anyone not in mainland USA... Scratching Chin

Jonny,

Not true.  I didn't say when it would be delivered.  Just that it shipped.  It could take days or weeks or months to get to its destination.  Heck - it could even get lost along the way!  Note:  Boy will I be angry if that happens!  We will have to wait and see.

The tools in my truck were talking the other day.  The Dewalts, PC's, Boschs, Makitas were not happy.  They also were in the minority.  Their complaint:  They felt unused and unappreciated since the Festools moved in.  I guess the truth hurts.

Johnny Round Boy.  He does a lot of work on the fog on behalf of us over here on this side of the pond and deserves a nod. Even though he's marginally younger than me  Tongue Out

This contest ends in a few hours and then we wait patiently for the recipient of FOGtainer 1 to be surprised by its delivery.  And then a post and pictures here.  While we wait:

You still have time to guess.  Guesses received after midnight will not be eligible.

Edit:  For the member who sent me a message - here is more popcorn.

I'm going with Brice on this one.  I wish there were about four fogtainers to go out to the guys that were working to get this together.  But I've got to go with brother Brice.

Just in case the recipient of FOGtainer 1 is looking for instructions on what to do, whenever you receive it, please post here with pictures of everything, if possible, if you want.  I haven't seen the little guy in over a month and I have heard rumors that it isn't what I remember.  Shane passed the little guy out and I think there are fingerprints and drool on it.

Shane.  You did clean up the little guy before shipped it didn't you?

GOOD LUCK! And a heartfelt thank you for participating in this groundbreaking, precedent setting, Forum enriching project!  Hope that you get as much a kick out of it as we have!

It's DNA!  The recipient will be able to clone people who work at Festool USA as well as the attendees of the last class.  Don't worry, I wiped it down after I touched it!

There was a package at my door when I got home from work today??.

Apparently Peter deemed me worthy of the coveted FOGtainer 1.

I?m honored, I really am.  I can?t say enough about Peter?s generosity, and a special thanks to the Festool staff and all of the forum members that supported this great project. Thanks

Here are a few pictures of the FOGtainer 1.

Some of the Festool USA staff were kind enough to sign the top.
From left to right: Brian Sedgeley, Minni Gleb, Christian Oltzscher, Shane Holland, Michael Williams and Rick Bush.

When I opened it up I found this, a certificate from Peter?.

It reads:
Congratulations!
Brice Burrell
You posted the following on March 6, 2010:
?Hmmmm, I wonder if we could put together a big enough group order to have a custom color (I like dark blue) with a custom FOG logo made up. Anyone interested??

The result was a project with unprecedented participation that fostered community spirit, encouraged participation provided fun and humor, and enriched the live of Forum members.

As a thank you I pronounce you to be the new owner if this, THE one and only prototype of the Fogtainer Project.

FOGtainer 1 !
I hope you will enjoy this as much as I have enjoyed this entire experience!

Thanks again to everyone involved! Now, let the next phase of this contest begin, picking the winners. Thumbs Up

Haha! I was right!!!

My guess is BRICE BURRELL.

He was the first person on that thread to suggest a group buy on a custom printed systainer.

Congrats Brice. As I said, it was you who suggested it first, so it's right you should have gotten it. Looks like I'm in with a chance of winning something too! Big Grin
