Yikes - I've been outed ! So not only did I have to graduate from being a lurker...which I'd done prior to this thread's start....but also to being a member who has to create substantive posts - of which I deem this one NOT... Holy Nakashima, what's a poor wood butcher to do Anyway, instead of two winners a choice of one year of either FW or FH....howzabout one winner two years of both! I like that much better, at least if I were to win it...... I promise something more substantive down the road...... AR

AR, welcome to the forum. You drive a tough bargain. How about I throw in a free limited edition Festool beer stein to each of the winners to sweeten the pot? Also, special thanks to our friends at Taunton for donating the magazine subscriptions and for their collaborative effort on promoting our $10,000 Ultimate System Sweepstakes earlier this year. Visit http://www.taunton.com to learning more about the "fine" publications offered by them.

The tools in my truck were talking the other day. The Dewalts, PC's, Boschs, Makitas were not happy. They also were in the minority. Their complaint: They felt unused and unappreciated since the Festools moved in. I guess the truth hurts.

For those who haven't seen or read either Fine Homebuilding or Fine Homebuilding magazines - they are top notch! I have a collection going back to around 1986 and I use them for reference all the time.
Well worth the wear on your fingertips for a chance to get a years worth!

Congratulations to the winners. In regards to the beer stein, I just received one for another FOG contest, and it is very nice. Just note that there is a little glue on sticker on the inside of the soft aluminum flip lid. Don't use a scouring pad to try to remove, as it will scratch the finish. Get something like Citrus Solve to remove it with an abrasive free cloth/towel. http://www.leevalley.com/en/garden/page.aspx?p=55599&cat=2,42194,40727It might actually be a good thing to include this kind of instruction with the mugs Shane. I scratched mine notrealizing how soft the metal was, but luckily noticed it quickly before it became major.

Wow! Holy smokes. Boy-o-boy, this ranks right up there with that time I won the Powerball. You know, what enabled me to start drinking the green Kool-aid....or rather, to start being able to afford to.... Thank you, everybody. Now, do Slyder and I have to arm-wrestle ourselves to determine which of us gets FH and which FWW? I have a slight preference for FWW...... (I subscribed from Vol. 1 through about 120, but have let it lapse for the last decade....) THANKS AGAIN!
