Ok, come on guys, I'm trying to give away $1500USD worth of Festool here in the US/Canada and $1000AUD down under. Where are all the videos?!  [huh]

I will say that Festool Australia in particular will be using this to gauge whether to participate in further FOG contests, so participation is key.

It's like a big project in college: you only start 36 hours before it is due.  The flood will start January 19th.  And, yeah, that's a LOT of cash!

Shane I can understand your nervousness, I thought there would be more in by now, but Paul  is right it will all start happening by 19th.  I have three in production and hope to post them next week.

To my fellow Australians, come on $1000.00 towards your next purchase is substantial!  Do not be  [embarassed]

As for any possible excuses by others -

"The Dog ate my I Pad.

It is sub zero in my workshop this week (NAmerica)

It is C40 in my workshop (Australia)"

 [smile]

Edit.
Festool Australia could also promote this comp, but they do not appear to have done so on their website.

I think there will be more entries coming - with competitions like this, there tends to be an increase in entries as the deadline approaches.
Festoolian since February 2006

TS55R EBQ saw - CTL26 - CTL Mini - OF1400EBQ router - KS120 Kapex SCMS - ETS150/3 sander - RO90 sander - DF500 Domino - PDC18/4 drill - PSC420 jigsaw - OFK500 trimmer

Wish list (in no particular order!): Anything not listed above....

I've  got one in the pipeline just figuring out how to edit,I think some people don't want to get behind the camera, but I can't understand why especially in aus. This forum only has a few members down here so the possibility of winning $1000 of festool tools is very high. I bet all the aus members entered everyday for the last contest festool aus did and only one of us got anything.
This video contest is like being at school again, everyone one will do the assignment the night before

Ok, fellas. We're down to less than a week remaining. Time to get those videos finished up and posted!  [poke]

You don't have to be an expert with the tools or with a camera to enter. Even sharing a basic how-to is an eligible entry. And even easier is a testimonial.

Thanks to all who have posted already. Good luck to all!

Hi Shane

Are you going to put links to all of the contest entries on this or one single thread to make it easier to find them?

Thanks Shane.

There are some great videos there and some talented individuals. This sort of competition always brings out the best.

For anyone a little worried about entering - do give it a go. I have learnt something from every single video that I have watched - it might be good woodworking advice, a new technique, an interesting point of view or some interesting video work.

Only three days remain, including a weekend. Your window of opportunity is closing. I have to say that I expected more participation. I think the last video contest we did on the FOG product about 30-40 videos. What's up...?

He can't participate this time because he is considered a Festool affiliate. However, we now have a relationship with Paul-Marcel and have worked with him to produce other video because of his video submission in one of our contests several years ago. Think about it, one of you could be the next, hold on, wait for it.... PAUL-MARCEL.  [thumbs up]

Hi Shane,

For a start, my house is not big enough for more than one Paul Marcel to stay in 2015...

and second, do we then have 1" shy, followed by 2" shy - by the time everyone gets in on the Paul Marcel act we will have 1/2 mile shy (sounds like a pilot I know - his avatar has him sitting in the driving seat of his chopper!).

Considering that he is now a "Festool Associate", I would have expected his tag line to have changed to "13mm Shy"

Tsk. Trust an American to convert inches to mm incorrectly. Surely you mean "12.7mm shy"?  [big grin] [tongue] [poke]

Now you're just arguing significant figures...

Of course, I don't know how many people noticed my original post had 12mm, which I had to edit to 13mm.

I wish I had co-workers so they could hold the phone for me. I mean other trades, I would be weirded out by the guy talking to himself all alone.

So some swag is still available? nice
