Dark photo so I cleaned it up a bit. No idea what it is though, too little information in there for my brain to decipher.

It looks like the base plate of a circular saw. But I have no idea what the black cable is for.

Hi the wire is for the limit switch that hits a stop that can be slide to any position on the track,so any lenght of cut is possible. I have thought about buying one of these for some time.then this one came up, its been sitting on a dealers shelf for some time and I think they just wanted it gone.So I snapped it up.Not had the chance to use it yet.

sweet saw. +1 for the video. what will you use it for. site work or shop use. is it portable.

almost every tool is portable jmb i know its ment to be portable . i was just wondering if it was easy to move around. is it like a ts75 that you can just grab it and away you go cutting or is it like a chop saw where you have to manhandle it into position. if you had a ts55 and this saw in the van , would it be worth getting out.

Hi Alan Its is very portable the track is in two pieces for ease of transport or storage the tracks cam together there is no need for a straight edge. so put the two halfs together and you are good to go. for me, I see it being used mostly in the shop but it would also be great onsite for volume. Jmb I think the guy in the video is a mooonlighting wine waiter, and has nothing to do with construction

Neat video, the vac hose looks the same as Festool's just red, and the Mafell vac looks like Bosch's. Anyone know who makes that vac?

The one in the vid is the 50 liter model. They also make a 25 liter model which is more common. Starmix makes the vacs for many other brands, including Metabo, Bosch, Hitachi, AEG, Panasonic, Mafell and lots more.
