I searched and only found an old contest for Canucks (which I *almost* qualify to be) but nothing else, so I'll start the ball rolling...

You know you spend too much (Time/$/?) on Festool or the FOG when...

... you've taught your iPhone, iPad, and computers that 'systainer' is a real word.

... you see something - including a bridge or a national monument - and think about how you'd build it using either the Festools you own or some you'd like to buy.

... you know what NAINA means. And you don't like it!

... you're posting this at 6am ... but you've been on the FOG for the last 2 hours.

I'm already smiling in anticipation of all the responses from everyone.

-What about the Festool/ festal problem as well for autocorrect.

- or all the posts are read :(

-I keep coming back to the recon list asking my self what more do I NEED, And I can not find anything.

- you end up researching screwdrivers for more than 2 hours the Wera/ Wiha/ Felo debate.

If that's all you've taught it you are missing 99% of the Festool dictionary - Shane (shame) on you [mad]

If you exhaust the "what do I need?" ... start thinking "what do I need another of?" ... CT's are often useful in multiples !

... You take regular contributors advice at face value for other kit as well as Festools. (Cough Sonos)

... You can recite the differences between the five top Festool sanders and the relative merits of each without thinking. (RO90, RO150, ETS125, ETS150/3, DTS)

... You know that the CMS-OF unit in NA comes with the OF2200 rings and why you aren't allowed to use it in NA.

... You've purchased at least two Festools due to either Paul-Marcel's or Peter Parfitts videos. (Since they are available on facetube this could be debatable, I guess.)

... You have pimped you MFT/3 to full table saw / high precision router station with an Incra LS Supersystem & a Precision plate based on war storied told here.

...You have a strong need to paint all tool storage units sweet pea green.

...You know instantly what people are talking about when words like 'holy', 'holey' or 'holyrail' are used.

I love it and will add...

~~ you have made theses modifications based on "potentially" getting CMS plates to use your TS 55 in the CMS.

~~ your iPhone shows that you are using 44% of your battery to use Tapatalk!

The statistical info is quite interesting, and somewhat troubling...

I'm wondering, however, how the stats tally up?  For instance, when I log in to the forum, I stay logged in for two hours.  So, if I only visit let's say for 15 minutes, then go on about my business, unless I take that extra step to "log out" I am speculating I will get hit with a two hour time charge against my stats.  Is this correct, or not.  Anybody know? [eek]

I guess I can easily experiment with this by staying logged in for the two hours periods for a few days, then log out each time for a like period and see how that adds up.

--- When your wife no longer notices that a new Festool systainer has shown up in your shop.

--- When your family vacations to Europe are planned around visiting Festool Dealers for NAINA. (Who cares what the wife and kids want to do!!)

--- When your most anticipated day of the year is when Festool announces new products.

--- When you keep an old Ryobi around for those times when your neighbor asks to borrow a drill.

--- When your stack of "Festool Fan" stickers reaches 1/2 inch high

--- When your German Dealer doesn't even blink when you order 40 toolies, 30 Swiss knives, 30 Clocks, and 10 folding rules.

--- When Festool is doing a demo day at your German Dealer, and he makes a point of personally introducing you to the Festool Rep.

--- When you have so many sortainers that you still haven't figured out what to put in them.

--- When the most frequently clicked button in your web surfing is the "Unread" button on FOG!

--- AND... When you beat yourself up for not having ordered one of Wayne's First Aid systainers. [sad]

Cheers,

Not to high jack this thread more, but, did a quick test last night while on the FOG by usual method of iPad.  Even if you DO NOT log out of the FOG, appears that once you close Safari, your session time is suspended.  So, time in the statistics would be somewhat accurate, meaning I'm not being very productive.  Oh well.   [eek]

Just fine Mick, thanks for asking ;-)

Rocking away with the complimentary 6 month subscription to Google Play Music and planning on getting another speaker in my sons room and a third one in our bedroom and possibly a 5 for the livingroom and dedicate the 1 I have for backyard use... Very slippery slope there... Just waiting for next bonus/overtime spree or similar to happen to fund any of it.

Took delivery of my Grrippers and Glubots and took them for a test drive yesterday when I installed new mozzie netting on our library door - good stuff there too.

You know you spend too much (Time/$/?) on Festool or the FOG when...

You find out you have a new niece and her name is...

Naina!

True story, I just found out a few hours ago! :)  LOL!  Neither mom nor dad have heard of Festool!

You should have started crying. When everyone asked why you were upset, you could explain the acronym and tell them you're worried that now you won't get to see her grow up. LOL. ;D  [tongue]  [big grin]

when you see a useful tool and ask yourself does festool have a version of it?
when you see a useful tool and its non festool and you go do they make it in green?
when i plan my future work bench it will have green, grey and dark blue with alum extrusions.
When youre feeling depressed just treat yourself to a systainer even if its a mini systainer its ok.

when you realize you no longer have anything meaningful to add to any of the following:

Sawstop
EZ vs. Festool
Squaring of Rails and fences on the MFT
Rigidity of the MFT
Funny noises when you use the TS55 for the first time

and, wait for it

Too much time when you know more about festool than your dealer does. And just as much as the guy who has 30k in festool's.

Yet you have a Cxs/carvex and some systainers.

That's because emoticons in green are generally associated with Mr. Yuk.  Just can't see the association with Festool in this one.

When you take a delivery, and leave it in the porch, until you can stow it in the shop unnoticed! By guess who?

Hookie
It started with a : TS 55 REBQ-Plus-FS
Then parallel guides.... Extra tracks. Then a Domino 500! Now a Midi extractor. Next an MFT, Domino XL,  Dominos and cutters. Router, OF 1400 added to the armoury... Just bought my 'Domiplate'.. The LR 32 jig and track. And finally, A TS 75 Track saw, sans track. My shop is turning very green and black.
Regards, Hook.

You know you spend too much (Time/$/?) on Festool or the FOG when...

When you play hookie from work to attend the Festool demo day at your local dealer.

When your web browser home page is your Festool dealer.

When you decide you can drive your 15 year old vehicle another few years so you can afford additional Festool tools.

When you can't sleep at night because you're trying to figure out how you can re-design your workshop to accommodate more Systainers.

When the only time you've ever lied to your wife in 23 years of marriage is when she asked how much those tools cost and now you have to hide the Festool catalog like a teen-age boy hides pornographic magazines.

and, you know you're really stone cold drunk on the green Kool-Aid when your wife is "in the mood", but all you can think about is reading the new Festool catalog that just came in the mail... [big grin]
