Creating custom album
«
on:
November 14, 2007, 10:02 AM »
Not sure what I did but at some point I did manage to create a new private album to organize my pictures. I use to be able to browse through the pictures, edit them etc.
Now I am not sure if I had access to a feature I was not supposed to or if the feature has been removed but I can't seem to find how to access to this album again. Maybe I just have a brain freeze.
Note that I still have the option to upload my pictures in this custom album and the pictures that are included in post are still there.
Any body knows how to access albums?
Thanks,
Emmanuel

Emmanuel,
That's the issue! I was wondering why your photos were coming through a different approval channel than the other members. Now I know.
No, members are
not
supposed to have "private" albums. I don't know how you ended up with one, but you should be loading your photos into your "personal" album.
Yes, there is a difference between a "personal" and "private" album:
Everyone who wants one can have a "personal" album. These are posted for everyone to see, they have your name on them.
But "private" albums are ones where only you can see the photos. These are of no use in a forum like ours. Private albums are used, for example, by people who run a photo business and use a gallery to transmit photos to clients that they don't want anyone else to see.
Anyway, hope that clears it all up.
Members can essentially ignore the whole "private" versus "personal" distinction. Just post your photos as usual.

Matthew, my brain just unfreeze itself.
I do have 4 buttons at the top of my page when I click on the gallery.
Create / order my albums
Modify my albums
My profile
Sort my pictures
Maybe I am not supposed to have thoses.
