Finally! - Arkansas has a serious woodworking store
« on: October 16, 2015, 05:18 PM »
I went to the grand opening of Mark's Machinery and More in Fort Smith today and I was pleasantly surprised.  It was well stocked (but not fully stocked) with an excellent selection of Festool, Fein, Bosch, Dewalt, Metabo, Sawstop, Powermatic, Jet, Supermax, Laguna, Oliver, Rikon, etc.  There were several manufacturer reps on-site including Bosch, Dewalt, Powermatic/Jet, and Metabo.

I fondled the new Festool sanders and if I didn't already have the older model ETS150/3, the new sander would have come home with me.  I ended up purchasing a Bosch GLL 2-15 self leveling cross line laser and a GLM50C laser measurement tool.  The laser measurement was not stocked and the Bosch rep almost had to pry his demo model out of my hands.  I am looking forward to the arrival of this new baby as it has some awesome features including bluetooth connection to a smart phone.

The grand opening specials continue through tomorrow.  Even though it is 1-1/2 hours from me, it was worth the drive and I will return.  My envy of those with serious woodworking stores nearby is now over.  [big grin]
