A quick inside look at the Starrett factory. It doesn't show that much but it's interesting nonetheless.

Nice video! I have this square and it doesn't seem so expensive after seeing all that goes in to making one.

I also have a Starrett combo square, the one with the hardened head. I bought it 16 or 17 years ago and it's still dead square. I imagine it will still be dead square by the time I retire.

Thank you for the video.  I've been using Starret products my entire career.   I was a layout person for a large steel and bridge building company.  I always wondered how they were built

Just bought the forged hardened head version. Thanks for the video. Now i know what comprises the value I'm getting for my hard earned money. I'm currently warming to the idea of getting 150 mm adjustable tri square..

too bad the video omits the entire forging process from shearing the blank, heating the blank, forging it and trimming the flash.

I have 7 of these, one with a 24" blade. Love old Starrett, Lufkin and B&S stuff.
