I'm Baaaaaaakkkkkk!
« on: October 04, 2015, 08:48 PM »
Greetings all!

Thanks for the worry, but yes...I'm alive and well.  Circumstances precluded my participation over the last few months, but I'm back to the real world now.

Long story short... I voluntarily accepted a recall to temporary active duty in the U.S. Army to assist with some plans and activity on the dark continent, and not being able to interact on the internet during the entire deployment activation. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide, nor discuss the activation particulars or the locations that I was active in, but I am back to being a total civilian now, and ready to reengage as a total FOG addict! [big grin]

Missed you folks, and was going through some serious FOG withdrawal during  this period!  And... what has been totally different from the previous couple of years is that I haven't purchased a single Festool product in at least six months!!! [scared]  Time to catch up!

Anyway, thanks for the thoughts and well wishes. I'm quite well and as far as I can tell, I am still whole. No holes or scars that I can find...lucky me (You have no idea!)  Happy to be back... and will return to my normal work in Africa later this month....as a civilian and hopefully a regular contributor here again as well.

Cheers,

Frank   [smile]

Good to hear all is well Frank.

As for your 'clandestine' activities, was this typical?  [unsure] [big grin]

Glad your back!  I am sure your systainers missed you as much if not more than your FOG brethren.  As mentioned earlier, thank you for your service!

Thanks for the kind words gents!

Busy this week with my wife on leave and down here in Florida with my son.  Spending some quality time with family for my 21st Wedding Anniversary and my son's 8th birthday.  On top of that, I have parents-in-law nearby and rather intrusive if you catch my drift!  To go even further....Air conditioners needed repairs, house had to be professionally cleaned, preparing our other house in Valdosta, Georgia for sale, teaching my son about gun safety, buying my wife a new carry pistol, going to Disney World on Fri-Sat, putting the trash out on Friday, organizing my office, maintaining the cars, doing some landscaping, installing a new Natural Gas 430k BTU pool heater, and generally wondering when I'll get some "me" time before I return to Africa on the 18th!!! [scared]

All in all, I'm darn pleased to be spending time with family, and getting things long undone....done!  Hopefully back to woodshop in November when I get back for my next break. Aghhhh [crying]

Cheers ALL!

Frank

Lots of guesses-  You air dropped empty systainers on people to confuse them or tick them off since there wasn't any Festool goodies inside... [wink]
You had to move Miley Cyrus from Country to Country since she kept ticking people off... [wink]
Some Oil Baron wanted to try running a Track Saw from one end of their country to another and you volunteered to air lift all those parts..... [big grin]
 Anyway, welcome back... [cool]

Frank, glad you are present and accounted for (FOG-wise) and thank you for being present and accounted for for our country.  It is good to have your back.

Been wondering, how did the Veg-Trug tomatoes fare in your absence?
