Who`s going this year, looks scaled back again. Not sure how many members here on the east coast of CANADA I`ll be there saturday early. Wanted to see festool but called elite tools and they said the festool rep will not make trip this year. Want to buy a kapex , they said they would bring what I need to the show If I give them a list, want to see the saw one more time before I buy.

Well I guess I`m the only one, Maybe this is why the festool rep will not make the trip. Elite is bringing me a kapex and crown stops, can hardly wait. Got a break in the action so I am going friday.

Went to the show today and was surprised to see a festool display, it was part of Fundy grindings display. Tool rep Doug Morrison was there and was very impressed with how many festools I have and knowledge of the brand. Took him outside to show him my van which is decked out with shelves for The systainers Helped him out a little with a couple customers who had a few questions about the rotex and its performance, he pointed me out and said ask this guy for first hand experience, was glad to help out. Elite tools had the kapex and crown stops for me, just spent the last hour playing. Also very surprised to see a fella I know from my home town with a mirka abranet display, i`ve been ordering from wood essence in Saskatoon, now I have a dealer with full inventory in my backyard. There was a grex display also, forget the guys name but the budget was gone with the kapex so next year on those.

Johnny,

Have fun with the Kapex!  Get some scrap and make some smaller scraps in all kinds of weird shapes.

The tools in my truck were talking the other day.  The Dewalts, PC's, Boschs, Makitas were not happy.  They also were in the minority.  Their complaint:  They felt unused and unappreciated since the Festools moved in.  I guess the truth hurts.
