Need help finding a post
« on: March 20, 2018, 10:59 PM »
Dear Foggers,

Would anyone be able to help me find a post from a member who modified a SawStop industrial mobile base to use with his Hammer A3 J/P? I just can’t seem to find it.

Thanks,

Daniel

I did not modify a sawstop base. I was inspired by their base to design my own hydraulic lifter that is mounted to the front of the A3-31 unit where the mortising unit would normally go. I use a bottle jack for the hydraulic part. The rear wheels are the ones that HAMMER uses as they roll about quite well. My main goal was to get rid of the lifting bar because every time I moved the unit I experienced back pain for several days. Now with my sawstop inspired lifter system I can move my unit easily with no ill effects on my back. Also I can spin the unit around within its own length!! I have a Youtube video called Save your back! if you are interested. I hope this helps!
