Woodworking Heroes

Here is a new PW page on Wendell Castle.

He is one on my heroes, somewhere between Sam Maloof and Martin Puryear.

Castle started off as a sculptor. He worked through various forms of woodworking and now uses CAD and an industrial scale robotic milling machine to make things that would be near impossible to produce otherwise.

Good read. Thanks for sharing, Michael. It was interesting to read about his lack of respect for wood, as compared to other notable woodworkers.
