I have received this 6 piece set of Harold and Saxon Contractor Chisel's from our esteemed colleague Master Trent Powrie.
These are a beautiful chisel to hold in the hand.
I really like the extra weight which is due to the aircraft grade aluminium handle.
You can see in some of the close-up photo's, the neoprene which should help isolate the hammer blow's, as Trent has pointed out on his website.
The soft black leather chisel roll compliments the "Irish Green" anodised aluminium very nicely, though my opinion may be biased, as these are my chisels, and I am Irish!

The tools in my truck were talking the other day. The Dewalts, PC's, Boschs, Makitas were not happy. They also were in the minority. Their complaint: They felt unused and unappreciated since the Festools moved in. I guess the truth hurts.

I guess my idea about a contractor's chisel is different than Harold & Saxon's. I always carry two sets of chisels. The abused chisels and the semi abused chisels. The semi abused ones date back to 1984. Actually just snapped one of the blades. Guess that one will be a shorter chisel now.  Enjoy them! Peter |

As has been said before, some tools are just too beautiful to use. I think you can count these among them.

The chisels are holding up very well.
They have a few more dents on them now, and I sharpen them regularly.
They hold their sharpness for quite a long time.
Just last week, after chopping through Australian forest red gum for 8 hours, they were starting to get blunt, so a quick go on the DMT diamond got them razor sharp within 10 minutes.
They are definitely worth the wait.
I have no criticism at all for these chisels.
I see the extra weight as an advantage, especially when dealing with stubborn Aussie hardwoods.
By the way, they are available in different colours.

I agree! I was thinking the same thing they do look a little thick. Not to bothered about weight as aslong as they are not really heavy. Jmb |

Hi Kev.
When Trent lived close to the Gold Coast (20 minute drive for me), I called out a couple of times and chose the sets of chisels I wanted.
Now that he is based in Warrick (4 to 5 hours drive for me), I am happy to let Australia Post do their thing.
I enjoyed going out to his factory and learning about the chisel making process.
It is amazing how much work is involved. Very labour intensive.
