Look what I got this morning.
« on: December 25, 2016, 08:17 AM »
The grandfather of a friend of mine passed away recently and they were cleaning out the attic a few days ago and they found this beauty. A Stanley 18ΒΌ block plane and it's in very good shape. No rust and the knuckle cap functions perfectly as well as the adjuster. The only thing missing is some of the paint but I'm not going to re-do it. I like how it looks.

Wow. That's a proper # 18 1/4 with the stamp on the left side.  The # 9 1/4 blades should fit if you decide to update it a bit.
