Looking at going back to Munchen this winter. Thinking of flying over to Scotland for a day or two and visit my kid. She's over there teaching on a 2 year stint. Teaching the important version of english to those brats.  Big Grin.
Can you guys recommend an airline outfit that does short hop flights from the continent over to Scotland? Or would taken a flight to the UK and then a train be better?
Thanks, Markus

Hi Markus,

Easyjet are a low cost airline that will fly direct from Munich to Edinburgh as well as all sorts of other locations.

http://www.easyjet.com/asp/en/book/index.asp?lang=EN$WT.srch=1&pcrid=6002365386&mkwid=43000000036859882

Will be worth a look.

Cheers,
Rick

Thanks, Rick I'll check out their schedules and costs. She is somewhere in or around Edinburgh. Don't remember exactly.

+1 for Easyjet. Flew them once from London to Amsterdam and return. No issues at all. IIRC, only cost 30 Gbp or so. Hope this helps!

Hi for what its worth I use Easyjet a lot and the tip is that the earlier you can book your reservation the cheaper it is but be aware that if you need to change your flight date time etc they do charge you.
Im flying to Austria next week with Ryan air and Im told they charge to use the toilet !!!!
Hope this helps  and have fun

Yes they are like the budget flights big time. The thing is it can cost you more by having to much luggage and things like that and going to toilet to much lol thats how they keep the price down but then charge you for extras but as long as you dont go for any extras go naked with not cloths lol its dead cheap and never go for a wee wee lol  jokes!  when I went with them I was shocked that you just sit any where on the plane you they dont give you seat numbers like kids you gotta get your seat you want quickly or you end up being apart from each other.  Me and my mates went skiing and we was scattered all over the plane because we was abit slow at gettin seats  we was asking people if we could swap lol so at least your sitting next to some you know lol.

If you want a bit more comfort and service then check out Lufthansa and BMI both fly Munich-Edinburgh and costs can sometimes work out cheaper buying in Germany.

I will never use Ryan air again and find Easy Jet to be a bit cramped and would rather pay the extra.
