I would like to invite anybody who is remotely near CT to a Festool House Party on July 29, 2012 with special guest Paul (CT Festool rep). The event will be held at my home shop which is located at

Glastonbury, CT 06033

1000 AM

The event will take place in the am and I will be providing donuts and coffee. Paul and myself will be supplying the Festools and I have plenty of scrap wood for demo purposes. It will be a chance to meet new Festool users and play with some tools. Hope you guys can make it, Eric

Seth, it would be our honor to have one of the moderators join us? You would just have to leave your house around 400 am and youd be just fine, Eric

You can always sleep in Erics bed if there's not enough room otherwise!

Sal, that is awesome news. Im gonna see if the rep will pick up pizza and soda for lunch.

Im gonna compile a list of tools, accessories, and consumables that guys are interested in, so that i can request them from Paul.

I will have a definitive start time soon, after i talk to Paul again, but tentatively 1000 am.

There are a couple of "celebrity" guests that are trying to make it, hopefully Sals commitment will push them over the edge. Eric

As an added enticement, I'll bring the chocolate. How many people will it take to consume one of my 10 LB chocolate bars?

Thats awesome news Charles, I enjoyed it very much at FestoolConnect. It was your post to me that got this thing off the ground.

If there are any lurkers out there, this is gonna be an awesome opportunity to try out a bunch of Festools and meet a lot of really cool guys that have a lot of experience using Festool tools.

Just talked to Paul, between him and myself there will be more Festools then you can shake a stick at in a two car garage. At least four mfts and four cts.

Party will start at 1000 AM and go on indefinitely

Dogs welcome, Eric

Vinny, not as famous as Norm, but still famous. Northern Jersey is not that far?

Kev, the Festool Rep is gonna do some videotaping. I have asked others to do demos and may do one myself or may just do my duty as host, not sure yet? Eric

That is the killer Eric.  Now I will not make it.   Crying
Unless, of course, Builder Bob can pick me up on his way  Poke

PS.  My wife is kicking me out that day.  Guess the coffee & doughnuts will win out.
I like the cinnamon.

OK Eric.
I'm in Ridgefield. (that's Connecticut) and, of course must be U-Conn fans (especially girls basketball)

If i can get the Executive car, i have room for 3
If that ain't allowed. maybe two if not humongeous.

Of course, i can't see out of one eye and blind in t'other.
My vehicle runs at 95 mph on rainy days
If sun is shining, I do make a little better time.

Glad to help out any time.  Wink

Seth, we are thrilled to have you. I guess i will let the cat out of the bag as Seth is one of the celebrity guests. No, the other is not the Wood Whisperor.

If anyone who is attending has a better camera then my Sony Cybershot $200 model then feel free to bring it and document this groundbreaking event.

I have a call in to the Festool rep to verify that he will have a Domino XL and Planex. I was thinking of screwing a sheet of drywall to the garage, covering in mud the day before and testing the Planex as I eventually want to get one.

If anyone has something in mind that they want to demo, post it here and I will try to get him to bring it. And all you lurkers out there, step up to the plate and come on down to the Bury for some fun times, Eric
