At the ToolNut demo by Dave, Sal brought along a Domi Plate and passed it around.  I would like, if possible, to see a demo of the Domino with the Domi Plate used.  Sometime before snow flies, i expect I will be able to untie all of my restraints and pickup a small Domino.

The tools in my truck were talking the other day.  The Dewalts, PC's, Boschs, Makitas were not happy.  They also were in the minority.  Their complaint:  They felt unused and unappreciated since the Festools moved in.  I guess the truth hurts.

Peter, I penciled you in for "celebrity" guest for Festool House Party 2013. By then Seths "celebrity" status will have worn off. Eric

After a lovely conversation with Paul - Festool Rep, I am proud to announce that the Planex and DC, and the Domino XL, and Surfix Oils will be at the party. I will be temporarily securing a sheet of drywall up in the garage for testing of the Planex. Paul says he can bring whatever, so let me know what you want to see? Eric

I am proud to announce the Festool House Parties first corporate sponsor....FestoolProducts.com.

Sean has graciously agreed to donating three gift certificates for a raffle that will follow the last demonstration. They will be for $200, $75, and $25, must be present to win.

Obviously we are thrilled by this announcement and have many thanks to Sean and the rest of the Festool Products family.

On another note, I will be doing a demonstration on coping crown molding and scribing baseboard with the RAS 115 along with a "top secret" demonstration to finish things off. More presenters will be announced asap.

Whos excited about this party? This guy thats who, Eric

Cheers,

I may have told this story somewheresometime here on the FOG.  Steve, if i have, it is your fault I am repeating it.

Some 40 or so years ago, when i was in construction biz and owned/operated a couple of backhoes, a neighbor of my brother called me.  She had a septic system problem that she needed help with.  She had gone to the town hall for advice.  She lived in a development that was full of violations and there was almost no way that the system could be repaired legally.  the inspector told the woman he was going on vacation and he was going to be out of town between x and x dates.  Maybe he could "find" time to look at her problem sometime after that.  She wanted to know what she should do.

I knew she could have an impossible problem.  i also knew the inspector knew the same.  he was basically telling her to deal with it.  deal with it quick and he basically was saying, "don't call me.  I will call you."  i told her he was giving her a big break.

I ended up digging out a section of the fields with my back hoe, but there was some hand digging to be done as well.  It was a hot day, temps up in the 90's and I was getting covered in you know what. The lady kept coming out to offer something to eat or drink, but i told her i wanted nothing until i could finish the job and get cleaned up.  The woman was concerned and kept coming back with same offer/same answer.

Finally, i was getting close to completion, dirtier than ever and dying from the heat.  As the lady asked once more, I looked up and said, "you know, on the last job I did like this, they had dancing girls."

She looked at me for a moment, her mouth open as if about to say something, and turned around, stalking back into her house.  I guessed she was maybe insulted by my audacity and continued digging.  All of a sudden, i heard, "Is this what you like?"

I looked up and there she was with a huge smile and modeling a very tight and small bikini.   Roll Eyes

Wayne, my wife will be out of town, so your only shot is my dog. Shes a little , but we could dress her up?

Sean, Charles Wilson is bringing a Nikon something or other and a tripod and I have a call into the rep about filming at least the demos. All the pics will be uploaded to the FOG.

I have a few announcements coming up shortly....Eric

Geeze - the "house party" is turning into a major event - I am jealous.  Sad

Makes me wish it was only 5 hours away as Google says (they seem to be ignoring the Garden State Parkway/287/Tappen Zee Bridge/I-95/25% of the US population...). Are you offering overnight accommodations?

Enjoy - can't wait to see the photos!

Google Maps projects a 20 hour trip from the U.P of Michigan.

If someone was doing this in the Duluth, Minneapolis, Madison, or Chicago area - I might consider such a trip Scratching Chin

I just spoke with Charles Wilson, who besides being a great furniture maker, is an awesome photographer. He will have his equipment with him the 29th and will be organizing the day into a Flickr account on this thread for everyone to see. The rep did say he wanted to shoot video, just need to talk to him to verify.

Lumbajac, we would obviously be honored.

Wayne, if you would do us the honor of pulling the winning names out of the raffle basket we would appreciate it?

As much as I want to be in the running, I am gonna organize the raffle and not take part for integrity sake, so the odds of winning just got better, Eric
