Anyone who has not seen Charles' telescope in person is missing out on something very special. The vids and pics are nice but the real thing is better.

Seth

I have not had the chance to send a note to Charles yet, but he "allowed" me to assist (the heavy looking on part) in the assembly.  Believe me, it is far more awsome when you realize how well coded he has every part and the ease with which he puts a pile of small pieces together into that awsome structure.

To Charles:  thanks for the chance to see you at work.  I have seen your work in the past, but never really watched you at assembly time.
Awsome.  You are a very patient and multi talented man.

Rockin' good show... Eric, thanks so much for all your hard work... and for having me. You did an awesome job putting it all together and it worked out seamlessly, like a choreographed dance (the kind I don't mind watching Wink) It was a pleasure meeting everyone,  great bunch of guys... I hope everybody liked what they saw.  I learned a ton as well.  Charles and Peter, thanks for all your hard work as well documenting.  Great stuff.  The telescope is mind-blowing in person.  As is Eric's very well organized shop...  to say nothing of the unbelievably beautiful setting.  Qwas... love the dogs.  Awesome work, I see tons of possibilities.

And thanks to all who attended.  It was an honor to play a small part.  If it should happen again I'll be there... and you should too!

Craig, thanks for coming. I really like your product a lot and am sure I could find dozens of uses for it in my shop. Call me when you are out of the woods. Believe it or not, we are already planning for 2013 and demo spots are gonna be scarce. I know there a lot of well know demonstrators who want in. I know people would like to see the clamps in conjunction with the bench though, so im sure we can work something out, Eric

I wanna say a huge thanks to Charles for putting in so much work getting these videos up. Next year we are paying a pro to do it. You are the best Charles, Eric

Yes, Charles, thanks for the great job on the video, especially from those of us who couldn't be there.

Looks like it was a day well spent.

If Winnie was there, she was camouflaged.

So, John, are you going to be hosting a party on the West Coast? That would be another one worth going to!

I've been thinking about it, around WIA Pasadena time (Oct. 12-14). But there may be too many parties planned already.

Wait! Too many parties, is that possible?  Smile

I did some quick analysis and calculations -- the answer is NO.   Wink

I guess the only possible problem would be having them scheduled at the same time.  Smile

Thanks John... I was traveling light this time, so I gave Winnie the week off.  Didn't want to overwhelm these guys first time out of the gate (you never get a second chance to make a first impression.  Big Grin)

Eric, beware... next year I'm bringing a friend.  Wink  The old girl just turned the big 40...  Cool

Craig, make sure to post your opinions in the Festool 2013 thread. It very well could effect you and I want to see which way past attendees want it to go? Eric

Seriously, 20 years ago those streets are where the "pros" used to hang out.  Tongue Out  I'm a bit surprised you didn't pick-up a police escort while cruising with that thing...   Huh?!  Eek!  Big Grin  Big Grin  Big Grin  Big Grin
