While you're there, take some photos and share them with the forum when you get back, especially if they are Festool-related (like tools NAINA).

I can't promise anything with the Plugits except that if I do buy one, I will buy more than just one (I only need one). I will probably have to go back next month as well and there may be more opportunity for free time as it will be all in Sydney. I'm the kind of guy who goes on business trips for business and goes down into the shop for vacation so for me this is all work  |

In other (non-USA) markets, Festool sells conversion plug-its that you can retrofit your older tools (RO150E, etc) that came with a fixed cord to a quick-connect plug-it. Most people just leave a single cord plugged into the CT and swap the tool on the end. It's faster and eliminates cord tangles. So, there's a lot of motivation to not have to deal with swapping the cord every time you change operations.
I could use one too (if someone has an extra they'd like to sell).

Man I hope you recover your luggage.
Unfortunately that's wild card all of us face traveling. It's always a stress reliever when you see the luggage coming down the conveyer belt..... that is as long as it is not in a plastic bag, wrapped with duck tape!

I head to the airport in an hour for the trip home. I didn't look hard for a Festool dealer and didn't fine one (I did find kangaroo scrotum's though) My initial reaction is that unless your spending many thousands of dollars for an Outback excursion so something like that it really isn't worth the trip. My wife wants to come with me next month and I have to figure a way to talk her out of it without making it sound like I just don't want her to come...maybe I'll give her another Hawaii trip. The coast is nice, but so is Hawaii. The weather is nice, but so is San Diego. The people are nice but they don't speak English...least I cant understand them We ate 4 steaks while we were here and not one of them had any taste. Bangers and mashed was pretty good as was the beer in the RSL. And what's with the kangaroos?? I think it's a myth. We saw a small herd (whatever a pack of them is called) one afternoon and none before or since...and only one road kill. Kangaroo Valley is inappropriately named We even went to a national park and didn't see any...only droppings. I'm convinced the park rangers distribute the droppings to make the American tourists think the kangaroos are around. No offense meant to our Aussie friends but traveling to Australia is so hyped in the US that it was sure to be a let down. I'll post some pics when I get back. |
