Hey all,

I'm glad to be a part of this forum. I've wandered and hung around almost a year before jumping in recently and getting immersed in this green FOG. The tool is great and the people knowledgeable people makes it even better!

I'm a newbie in this area and learning more everyday. My daytime job is in IT, but I always enjoy creative work so this and photography are areas of great fun for me. So as you can tell, I'm a hobbyist and enjoying all aspects of that.

I wondered who else is in valleys. It would be great to meet and learn from you. I could reciprocate with photography or IT guidance. Smiley It would be good to see what you're working on and see how you use the tools as well. Sometimes reading about something and seeing it in person are two completely different experience.

Anyhow, happy to be joining the FOG community!

Hi Hobbes and Mike,

 Welcome! to The FOG!

My woodworking business is in Burbank, CA. I live in Hancock Park, CA near the intersection of Melrose and La Brea.

Mike, I'm in the heart of the valley...near 405 and 101 if that gives you an idea of general region.

I had this idea that we could do a meet-up in Oct. when the woodworking shop comes to Pasadena. I'm sure there'll also be a bunch of out of town folks as well so that'd be very cool too! I bet it'll probably be pretty easy to spot you guys in your green hats and t-shirts..haha

Does it count if I'm from  Ventura but live in South Carolina?   Big Grin

I miss the Pacific Ocean.  Crying

Best of luck getting together with fellow foggers, and learning/adding to your woodworking abilities!

Just to clarify, Mike, did you mean fogies or foggers?

Of course, either way I still qualify.   Big Grin

Sure, it counts! It's just like when you move away but still root for the "home" team.  Big Grin
