Hello Folks my name is Warren, I am also new to Festool not to mention FOG. After I used the Jigsaw I purchased second-hand I knew I had to have more. The fellow I got it from showed me his other Festool tools so I didn't do much research after that. I had seen Festools but had never used any of them. My local dealer is Hardware Specialties Inc. in Anchorage Ak., about 25 miles away from my home.
I grew up in a cabinet shop and worked in one in Tampa Fl. when I got out of the Air-force prior to coming to Ak. to crab. My Grandfather was a Maintenance Supervisor for the Hollywood Candy Bar Co. in Montgomery Al.. He was actually held a Journeyman ticket for Plumber, Electrician and Carpenter! When he retired my uncles built him a woodworking shop where he built everything from swings to dog houses until he died. My Father owned, and sold, the company that became Southern Sash. I started repairing stringed instruments in 1977 and built my first sometime in the early 80's. I have recently started working on reproducing Early-American Furniture. Currently I am Half-way through the remodel of my home. I am just getting to the cabinet phase so it is great timing for Festool. It is nice to not have to slop through the snow and ice to my shop. My first night I built a cabinet section,in the kitchen !!!I still have a shop full of table saws and such but I have an Idea I may be holding a Huge Tool Sale soon !!
Thanks to all that read this long post,

Warren Weldon
