Hello all.

To start off, I've purchased a Festool T12 plus, a Centrotec Set 2010 and a few systainers to hold some other tools. My Missis and me are living in Finland and bought a wooden (log) house and will go through a full renovation. It is estimated to be build somewhere between the 1890's and 1910. Though myself being involved full-time on a daily basis throughout the renovation project starting from the 1st of April, we are getting professional help to get things done more efficiently. (I am a handy perfectionist but definitely no pro) I have been introduced with Festool during my studies back at the art academy were I studied sculpture. There we had a bunch of Festools and I loved them, if needing a power tool, then better have one that actually does the job properly and one that lasts. Now I do question myself why instead of the T12 I didn't buy the extra torque but it'll have to do. As there will be a lot of work to be done besides the renovation itself, like wishes for building a (new) outdoor building which will function as an artist studio, we like to build an outdoor sauna etc. I'm already lurking for a presicio cs and other goodies that, likely, once will come along when needed. Throughout the years I have collected many (decent) handtools that I use frequently but besides a makita cord drill (and now the T12) I don't have any power tools. Therefore I'm sure people here can give me some advice or guidance when I'll need info on much needed future Festools!

Regards, Mauri

Hi Mauri!!

 Welcome! to the FOG!

A lot of people with lots of knowledge, and we all enjoy learning from each other's project.

Make sure you take plenty of photo's of the renovation, it sounds a real interesting project you have there!!

Yea, welcome dude.

Remember, no pictures & it never happened so we need pics  Wink  Sounds like a cool project & just the excuse for plenty of Festools.  If you need to get another cordless i can recomend the C15  Thumbs Up

Thanks for the warm welcome. Pictures will come, no worries. I have to say that I find it very, very difficult, even browsing FOG, to find compatible accessories for the Festool drill. I've ordered the Centrotec 2010 set as I think it holds a good range of extras after considering the '08 and '09 set as well. I have been searching for a Festool ratchet set and only stumbled upon the centrotec 497881 set but it holds screw bits which I don't need having the 2010 set and only holds the ratchet bits 4mm up to 13mm. I didn't find any info on individual bits whatsoever. Protools offers a little kit too which is centrotec too and thus a plus. Any tips or tricks? Any other brand which is centrotec compatible? If nothing really, I'd consider either a Wera or a Stahlwille set.

edit: I guess one could use the Festool Centrotec adapter 1/4" or 3/8" with whatever sockets!?
