Built from figured Pennsylvania cherry.  The height is adjustable to match the weaver's preference over a 4.5" range via connecting bolts between the legs and bench case.  The slatted back rolls on custom made urethane bearings over brass-covered tracks set below the top of the case sides.  Festools?  You bet!  The bench features all mortise and tenon joinery done with my Domino (trestle base plus dividers within the case) while all the sanding was completed with my Rotex and RTS sanders.  Dust collection for all was handled by my CT22.  Couldn't have done it without them!

First, thanks for all the compliments.  I make custom looms and weaving equipment and this bench was my most recent completion.  I've attached a few more photos of the bench plus one of the loom it matches to give you some idea of what I build.  The first photo shows more detail of the end of the bench including the figure in the wood.  The second shows the inside of the bench including the brass track on which the seat glides.  The third shows the mortises in the trestle components.  This was very easy to create using my Domino and 8x40 tenons.  To answer Dave's question about height adjustment, the legs fit into pockets in the bench case and are secured at various heights with a flat head machine screw that passes through the leg into a fixed threaded insert in the bench case.  The case and trestle base are separate but very, very stable and secure at any height.  The finish is oil and wax and I don't know that my relatively poor photography skills do this cherry justice.  It was a really exceptional batch of lumber full of figure and color.  As for Dan's comment on the dovetail in my avatar, it is used to secure the front beam to the loom frame and is the signature feature of our Fireside loom.

That looks great. I didn't know if you was aware that is what Toyota use to make instead of vehicles. I think they made automatic looms under their original name Toyoda. When our visitor center is opened, we are supposed to have an original loom in the show room.
