IPE Benches
« on: January 02, 2016, 10:03 PM »
I made these out of IPE for a client, I used domino's from my 500 machine for all connections. These things are pretty heavy.

I really like the looks of them. The narrow middle board is a nice touch...real nice job. What finish did you put on them?

I don't have a front view, the bottom picture is as close as it comes.

The underside is just those pieces butted to underside with dominos, no visible screws, the legs have a cross piece which you can see in last photo.

The finish is an oil that is sold just for ipe wood, smells like fish oil., if you want the exact name I can look at the can, don't remember it right now.

Please do look it up. I built a bunch of Ipe benches. They have weathered to a gray color. They are holding up well after 2 years outdoors.
