The workmanship is flawless - but I would love to see you tackle something modern/contemporary to see how your talent is translated / applied. Most of the work you do reminds me of "grandma's house" 

Is this a factor of the commissions of work you get, or the class of craftsmanship you prefer.

Again - I'll point out my appreciation of the quality of the work you do (my personal taste is not a criticism).

I have some questions and comments...

What goes in the big opening? (mirror, framed icon, or something else?)

Does the piece get attached to something to keep it upright?

This is a very nice piece.  The two things I would change are at the top.  One is the lip at the peak.  It becomes narrow, which makes it stand out instead of blend in.  Also, I do not think the shading at the top worked well.  On the front of the lip, the shading is uneven.  Below it on the panel, the shading just above the arch seems too dark compared to the shading at the rest of the panel edges.
