Mobile Machinery Bases
« on: January 09, 2017, 01:07 AM »
Stationary equipment is great, but hey, it's stationary!  I figured I needed some more mobility around the shop.  I couldn't find exactly what I wanted off the shelf so I decided to fabricate several on my own.
I have made about 4 of them by now and will probably make another couple of them.  They run me less than $25 apiece and gives me a chance to fabricate.
The one for the Powermatic spindle shaper incorporates a mobile base for the Delta power feeder that can be moved at the same time or disconnect to use on another machine.
The table saw and shaper have levelers incorporated into the bases.
Bases are made with 2" angle on the sides and 1" x 2" tubing on the swivel caster ends (both 1/8" thick).
