Rocking Chair
« on: February 24, 2019, 08:52 PM »
I have long wanted to build a rocking chair, but it looks extremely complex. I’ve been doing woodworking for about 35 years and have gotten fairly good. However, all the curved parts and the complex joinery may be too difficult.

Is there any good tutorial that might help me with this goal?

No doubt there is several tutorials available but if you are willing to invest there is Marc that have a project about rocking chair. I have a few of his projects like the Mohagany bed and gaming tables and the videos are excellent.

Another vote for Marc’s videos. This is where I’m up to with my rocker, still on the rough shaping phase but it’s getting there.

Thanks. But honestly, it isn’t all that hard. If you break it up into small steps it’s definitely achievable.
