They are wanting as many things made as possible so I can stay their and just keep making stuff till the wood runs out but that will take far to long lol

Sounds like a golden job to me. Whenever you got some spare hours you can work on this.

Went over 2 day cus they bought the hammock for it!   Oh dear!  they bought a colour full one not really wa I had in mind!  Shame really!

I was thinking something more like this----v  which has sticks in it so it keeps the hammock open which looks nicer also

Gotta get some more clamps cus straps dont seem to pull the joints up as well as I would like cus if you look closely some of them you can slightly see open joints, even though its filled with glue expanding I would of liked it to be tight!

Im not to bothered cus its an rustic out door piece so its in keeping with the style!

Also I got the layers all flush  sending it through my thicknesser  but some have shrunk more than others since so arnt bang on flush!  Again its part of the rustic look.  I dont kno how I could prevent it in the short time we had to make it but ideally needed drying more.

Im testing the hammock out!  When swinging it does move side to side flexing but flexing inwards is very min able  and feels solid to be honest.
Not sure how to strengthen the side to side motion.  Did get everything tight but it has slightly shrunk so not as tight any more but even when it was tight it had side to side flex.
I tried my mums which is a bought hammock and that has side to side movement so I take it that might be standard.

Hey Noah!  You might want to put sides and a bottom on your ark before setting sail.  Big Grin

Well I have giving it a name! Its called the Boat Hammock!   Big Grin      I thought it looked like I was building a boat so decided to keep the theme going and got chains  and wanted the chains to dangle through adding a different touch also!  be different to all the other hammocks out der.
