Ha alright I'll snap a few tomorrow, belt is at the shop and today is my day to be hung over.

As i said i was getting really frustrated with my previous belt but this thing is so nice you want to put it on. I went for the trimmer as i don't want to have 90lbs of crap on my hip. That being said there is loads of room on this thing for fasteners and tools alike, plus the bags are removable and you can swap them out for other ones if you want a different load out for a particular job. More and more I'm seeing the value behind premium products such as these. Some Carpenters are of the opinion that any $20 belt will do, and they will get you by for sure but I found the cheaper stuff to never have what I really wanted, be it build quality, capacity, or just the ability to keep everything in place instead of dropping crap all over the site. The leather in this bag stretches just enough to end up forming to your tools giving them a secure hold yet easy placement. If you gotta work in a belt you might as well work comfortably I say. You get this guy you wont be sorry.

I tried on a few different belts before I settled on this one. For me i didn't want something that was super huge which I felt the other models were. I'm trying to keep my tool set as light and compact as possible. I suggest trying out a few different ones at your local dealer. Everything Occidental makes is of excellent quality, there is something extra posh about the leather belts though as opposed to the canvas. Compared to my old belt, which is canvas, they're about the same in weight.

That Oxy 5062 bag looks like it houses the SpeedSquare better than both of my old Oxy belts.  Mine keep the back of the square sticking out, which hits into finished walls and catches on things at times.  I always have to be careful by pushing it against my body while walking through someone's home.  I know some of you won't wear tool belts in finished homes for just such reasons, but I haven't changed that mindset just yet.  I find them too handy, still.

Have you considered Diamond Back toolbelts?  Home page: http://www.toolbelts.com/pouch-eagle.php  I had a two belts using Occidental pouches.  While they were very functional and well made, I kept bumping into things and scratching walls and door frames.  A pic of a left pouch:


I now have a Diamond Back belt using two "Eagle" pouches: http://www.toolbelts.com/pouch-eagle.php - one left and one right hand. The right pouch has been customized to hold a utility knife in an Oxy utility knife sheath.  Which brings up a key point - these belts can be completely customized. Type, depth, and placement of pouches, belt width and size, and accessories are selectable.  And then you can order specific changes to suit your needs.    Edit: I attached a pic of my Diamond Backs below.

Since I use screws on almost everything, I don't use a hammer very much but I hate having the things banging against my leg. If I used a hammer much, I'd get a hammer sleeve: Http://www.toolbelts.com/holsters.php

The Diamond Backs fit more closely to your body. I no longer bump into things. At least, not as much.  

One downside is that they are a bit pricey.  I think they are worth every penny, but they are more expensive than the Oxy's.

yeah my setup isn't as large as the Blue one above, more compact. The reason I bought the Occidentals is the speed sq. placement. I use to put it in the small of my back or in a pocket, drove me crazy….er  I wear mine in finished homes all the time. I have the seperate hammer holder in the center of the back, keeps it from hitting my knee or the back of my knee. The right side holds my Husky tape, small slide sq, utility knife, 1" chisel, pencil and a few other daily used tools. the left side holds the Sq. chalk box in the top pocket nail sets and what ever screws or trim nails I an using. I don't fill the pockets because they can hold A LOT of screws and nails lol.

Options are great and there is no one right answer it's all a matter of personal choice. In regards to the weight of the pro trimmer belt, yes there is heft to it when you pick it up but i find the balance on it to be extremely comfortable. I like the leather pouches because they stay open without drooping, again maintaining a better balance. I too have a bad back having suffered a fractured tailbone not to mention my knees which have been dislocated and tend to grind when the air pressure changes. I haven't tried that brand of belt so I can't comment on which is better and wouldn't attempt to. Would like to check em out but my belt is pretty new and I'm happy with it so I'm no longer in the market for one.

I have had this belt for many years now.  I love it, I just cannot wear it.  Too heavy and it hurts my back. I am an apron guy.  Still try it out every time I am doing frame punch out. Never wore it trimming. Too big.

Any one had any experience with Diamond back, I just got an email saying that it will be 2 months! before my belt will ship. They charged my credit card, I am getting nervous
