I bought a Walko (3) probably two years ago, but due to a whole lot of life getting in the way it spent the time strapped to a wall in my water heater room.

I finally got it out to play with this weekend.  In another thread somewhere I mentioned my frustration with adjusting the table struts and with removing them from the legs.  I spent a good little while today revisiting that frustration.  In the videos the angle adjustment and removal process looks simple, but I can't seem to make anything work without a whole lot of wrestling. If the struts are off the legs I can usually adjust the angle, but once the struts go on the legs all bets are off.

Can anyone give me advice as to how to use these things ? There must be some tricks that I'm not in on.  I've downloaded the manuals from Walko but they never helped me the first time around and they're not helping me now.

Use some dri-lube on all the moving parts there and check your alignment.  You need to have the table in the a-frame position, and loosen the allen's that hold the struts to the bamboo tables.  Move everything around and get it all aligned and carefully tighten everything back up.  If they are in a bind at all they can be frustrating.

Good to know; I don't use mine often with the tables, but, yeah, they were always a pain to install.  Thanks, Chris!

Thanks guys, I'll try lubing the parts and adjusting.  It's nice to hear that maybe I am not the only one finding it more difficult than it seems on video.

On another note, does anyone know where one can get another set of the table struts/hinges ?

I zipped tied mine with plastic zip ties in the
90 degree position because of the difficulties
explained above.

One of the tables fits quickly while the other one
needs a little persuasion with a leather faced home
made mallet. Oops
