I believe Hans has hit on a key point in the 20mm-fit debate, i.e. that while really very consistent the holes in a stock MFT were not intended to be precise to thousandths of an inch as they were only meant for clamping.  Our ability to use dogs and precisely line up stock & guide rails is just a happy side effect from CNC manufacturing.

As always, I could be all wet.

As of 10/17 I am out of the Dog business and pursuing other distractions. Thanks for a fun ride!

Hans, can you comment on the fit of either of the dogs in a Fastcap Paulk workbench? The holes are cut by CNC so I'm guessing the "close fit" would work, but would appreciate first hand input if anyone knows!

Thanks!
