Does Anyone Make a Wide Bearing Router Bit
« on: August 31, 2017, 04:48 AM »
Was looking for a top bearing router bit with a wide (thick) bearing.
All the bits seem to have something with a 1/4" face that rides against
the template. Is there something in the 1/2" range or is there a bit that
will allow two bearings to be stacked together to form a wider surface?

You'll ask why would you need that but I can't go into detail yet.

Stack two bearings or look for a bearing with the i.d. and o.d. you want in the height you want.

Either way make sure you have enough collet purchase on the shaft.

Yes but bearings on the collet end of the bit. I didn't turn up any when I searched. Thanks.

Hope what you found works for you.  I also buy all the blades that I use in my 55, 75, and HKC from Toolstoday...AGE.
