I, perhaps like you , looked a Microfence for a few years.  Finally took the plunge this last January at he Baltimore woodworking show.  I wish I had not waited so long.  I was up and running doing beautiful inlays and learning to do many other precision routing in short order.  You will find the owner Richard to be a great help and willing to spend time on the phone with answering questions etc.  They are are very customer oriented and offer the best in customer support.
