In the video there is a magnetic remote switch. Have any of you seen this and if so fow does it work?

They actually did develop the tool and the switch - they aren't fake.  Who knows if the switch will actually come to production.

The tools in my truck were talking the other day.  The Dewalts, PC's, Boschs, Makitas were not happy.  They also were in the minority.  Their complaint:  They felt unused and unappreciated since the Festools moved in.  I guess the truth hurts.

It would be interesting to find at what point in the design/manufacturing/marketing/sales process Rob Lee decides to make it an April 1 tool instead of actually selling them.   Unsure Blink Huh?! Embarassed Big Grin

I guess the point on this one is that a purist hand tool user wouldn't want the annoying noise of a vac running near by.

Nice , thought it was a gag but I could see it being a product. It would not be the the strangest thing I have seen wood workers want. Oddly the magnetic switch thing I would like for other than wood working things.
