Post by: mastercabman on February 28, 2010, 07:44 PM
What is the deal with that product?   I keep reading about it.How good it is,How everybody wants one.But when i do research on line nothing comes up.
I'm not really interested to get one,but just curious about it.

I heard that SawHelper is no longer in business.

All the info that I've been able to collect indicates that they are no longer in business.

I was able to get a nice used one a few months ago.  Check Craigslist.

Regards,

Dan.

As of the last year and a half, they have done nothing.  I don't see them coming back either.

I am trying to reach his holiness, Brice Burrell.

I recently acquired a SawHelper owned by a fellow who sold me his, for which I am quite happy about[attachimg.  The problem is that he had a old school Delta miter saw with straight and perpendicular sides, and was able to get by without having to use the sub brackets.  By the way, the saw weighs as much as a boat anchor.  Twenty years forward, he has not a clue where the sub brackets are.  SawHelper being out of comission at the second, I need to beg, buy borrow or steal preverable one set of left and right sub brackets to measure and fabricate two pair so I can attach my Makita LS 1030 miter saw to the rest of the rig.

Brice, if you or any of the faithful could help me out, I would be quite thankful.

Kind regards,
Joe Nash

Joe.

Is this what you are looking for? He says no shipping but it might be worth a try. Good luck.

Joe, I think I can help you out. These parts are very simple. I could probably make a quick SketchUp model of the brackets and that would be sufficient since the part is so simple. We can continue this via email, so keep an eye out for an email from me soon.
