Shop stool
« on: September 27, 2008, 10:36 PM »
I'm looking for advice on a shop stool.  I have foot problems, so need to stay off my feet as much as possible.  I'm setting up my workbenches and tables at the right height for standing, and want a stool with a back (arms would be a bonus) that can adjust to this.  One I've considered is at

Other specific suggestions (preferably ones that leave some money for Festools and wood)  ?
Anything I should be looking for or looking to avoid?  Anything else?

Thanks.  Tom in SE Pennsylvania

Build one.  It's a good project, and you'll be insured to get the perfect height and features for your needs. ;)

Tom -

Woodcraft has a stool as one of their 80th Anniversary commemoratives which looks pretty nice.  You might want to give it a look see.  I believe the price is pretty attractive too.

I have the same problem so I wish you good luck.

I have the Woodcraft stool and it is nice.  I not sure how long the plastic casters are going to last on a concrete floor.
